Since December 2022, due to the reduction of virus toxicity, China has started to optimize epidemic prevention and control, precise prevention and control, and scientific prevention and control, including measures such as lifting temporary control areas and not checking nucleic acid certificates when going in and out of major places, which shows that the dynamic optimization of epidemic prevention and control has entered a new stage.

The global epidemic has been going on for three years. While choosing to fight against Covid-19, human beings are constantly searching for ways to deal with Covid-19. Recently, many scientists at home and abroad have proved that NMN is helpful to prevent and control Covid-19, and it has been verified by experiments.

 In April, 2020, the team of Dr. Robert Huizenga of Harvard University found that NMN cocktail therapy can treat Covid-19 [1].

     In February, 2021, a number of top academic institutions, such as Royal Swiss Institute of Technology and King's College London, UK, jointly announced the results of the world's first large-scale human clinical trial of NMN. This human clinical study fully proved the potential of NMN in the treatment of Covid-19 with huge data [2].

 In February, 2022, David Sinclair, a professor at Harvard Medical School, published an article in Trends in Immunology, NAD+ in Covid-19 and viral infections, arguing that increasing NAD+is beneficial to the rehabilitation of Covid-19 after infection [3].

 On April 29th, 2022, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, together with Peking University and Tsinghua University, published the latest preclinical research entitled "Treatment of SARS-CoV-2-induced pneumonia with NAD+ and NMN in two mouse models" in the international scientific journal Cell Discovery. The research proved that supplementing NAD+precursor NMN could treat the gene expression and metabolic disorder caused by Covid-19 infection, thus saving the life of COVID-19 mice.

 In this study, the research team evaluated the gene expression and metabolic disorder after Covid-19 infection in two mouse models infected with Covid-19 by lung transcriptomics and metabonomics, and tested the protective effect of NAD+ and its precursor NMN.

 The research team found that Covid-19 infection caused the gene expression disorder related to NAD+ metabolism, immune response and cell death in mice, which was similar to human COVID-19 patients. The research team then used NMN for treatment, and found that the pneumonia phenotype after treatment, including excessive inflammatory cell infiltration, hemolysis and embolism in the lungs caused by COVID-19 infection, was significantly improved. More importantly, NMN supplementation can prevent 30% of old mice infected with deadly Covid-19 from dying.

Conclusion: Supplementing NAD+ precursor NMN can treat gene expression and metabolic disorder caused by Covid-19 infection. The principle is that supplementing NMN can increase the content of NAD+, enhance the ability of cell repair, make the speed of cell repair exceed the speed of cell damage, and slow down or even stop the cell damage, thus enhancing immunity and resisting the invasion of various viruses.  

 According to the research results of scientific research teams in various countries, the efficacy of NMN in preventing and treating COVID-19 has been repeatedly verified. With the arrival of the new stage of the epidemic, if you want to be the first responsible person of your own health, you should bear the brunt of personal prevention!
